Thur 11/17/11: 1977

Lay down, Crapton.

MeatLoaf for breakfast! BOS "2 outta 3".

WOS Skynyrd? you SHO' got dat right!

Cheeze for breakfast!  BOS2 Styx, sailing ay-way..

Frampton sings the song of the lonesone sheep-herder: "I'm in Ewe".

Steve Miller swings.

WOS UFO, "Too Hot To Handle", sounding like a very poor man's AC/DC.

proxy of shray for live REO, but "Keep Pushin'" gets a WOS2 from me.

Mr Welch gets sentimental. I still prefer the F.Mac original.

Crapton - Lay Down Sally
Meat Loaf - Two Out of Three Ain't Bad
Lynyrd Skynyrd - You Got That Right
Styx - Come Sail Away
Peter Frampton - I'm In You
Steve Miller Band - Swingtown
UFO - Too Hot to Handle
10cc - Good Morning Judge
REO Speedwagon - Keep Pushin' (live)
Bob Welch - Sentimental Lady

Fri 11/18/11: 1969!

It's a fine Friday morning so far.

Fogerty's Fortunate; The Band drive Dixie down with all the lyrics Joan Baez got wrong.

Hey, Pete, I got a supple wrist too -- and it ain't from playing pinball.

BOS1 3DN/Laura Nyro, "Eli's Coming". And he was a long time coming, sez CSN. Guess his wrist is even more supple than mine.

BOS2 "Here Comes the Sun", just because.

Best mondegreen evah: "I'm your penis, I'm your fire, at your desire"

BOS3 Spirit.

On the menu at Chez Zeppeline: dazed and corn-infused souffle! BOS4.

Fri 11/18/11: 1969!
BOS1 3DN/Laura Nyro, "Eli's Coming".

me, too. That was great.  I like me some Gospel, even if it's fake.

who would think that years after David Crosby did his Fozzy Bear imitation on this song that he would be chosen to impregnate Melissa Etheredge?  the mind boggles.  mondegreen for this one  "It appears to be a loan."

Speaking of Greg Rolie (his "organ" is jamming in my right ear on this Santana track, thanks to the Wonder of Stereo Separation), the "classic" Journey line-up might reunite, with Greg Rolie on keys, and Steve "Line, Please!" Perry on vocals and luxurious hair.

Speaking of lines, BOS Spirit -  because they "got a line on you, babe," they said to the bare-middrif'd dancer.  (Steve Perry wants in.. years later, of course)

Fri 11/18/11: 1969!

CCR - Fortunate Son
The Band - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
The Who - Pinball Wizard
Three Dog Night - Eli's Coming
CSN - Long Time Gone
Santana - Soul Sacrifice
The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun
Shocking Blue - Venus
Spirit - I Got a Line On You
Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused

(Rob announced that yesterday's BOS was Bob Welch - Sentimental Lady.)
