AL just posted that this was the landslide BOS winner, but she got an email that said BOS to ""Anything BUT that song following ABBA, the WORST thing I’ve heard on the radio in years, what were you thinking?"

can't please everyFoggy.

ETA: *loved* sundaygal's comment about Train. Bwahahaha!

Fate smiles: Tuned in this am in mid-Geils, so I get to hear nearly all of this set. A nifty selection of songs, and some good sound in here too. This set could almost be a Morey creation, save for the Blondie and maybe the Taj tunes.

ETA: A strong contender here for Set o' the Week, although I'm not sure I'm qualified to judge since I only heard this and 81 so far. May have to try out the streaming thing on the new phone while I'm in the car as I gotta hit the road. Until later...

I woke up to the Valentine's set, which easily gets my Set of the Week nod -- certainly the equal of any of Dave's VD creations -- with '76 a close 2nd. '81 was one of AL's rare duds, but since most of her early-'80s excursions are topheavy with New Wave, I can forgive her for being mainstream this time around.
