Comcast is an ugly near-monopoly (c'mon, how many folks do you know that use RCN?) but "anti-gay' is a bit of a stretch. Just because they don't have an agreement in place for the premiere doesn't mean much -- they tend to move slowly there, and only add channels when there is perceived demand (or a big payoff -- they added WGN recently because... er... why? Bay Area Cubs fans?).

Comcast has indeed added LOGO, at least for those of us with digital cable (where it's on channel 146). There's a "countdown" going on right now; the official launch is at 9pm.  So I'll be zapping back'n'forth between LOGO and HMBOMT and the end of the Giants/D'backs game (featuring Shawn Estes, Gaz -- coincidence?).

Why Comcast denied they were negotiating this morning is anybody's guess.  But for LOGO not to be available in one of the gayest markets in the US woulda been kind of embarrassing.

I got rid of digital a while back. Assuming you've checked out LOGO, what's your assessment?

The premiere offering was a not-bad, history-of-modern-gay-culture documentary. Followed by previews of LOGO's upcoming shows. One example: Scott Thompson of "Kids in the Hall" hosting a feel-good makover-ish show where he gives gay couples the "wedding of their dreams".  (I'm tempted to call it "Queens for a Day" :wink: )

In other words, at first glance, it seems aimed at people who just love "Queer Eye". I hope it's more than that. Fingers crossed.
