Your best friend Harry has a brother Larry
In five days from now he's gonna marry
He's hopin you can make it there if you can
'Cause in the ceremony you'll be the best man
This stanza always bothered me. Why would Larry choose his brother's best friend instead of his brother as Best Man?
The narrator could be Larry's best friend, too...? and maybe Harry and Larry hate each other?
or maybe it's really Harry who's going to be married and "has a brother Larry" was just used to complete the rhyming cadence?
yeah, you're right. It's bothersome no matter how you look at it.
