RIP Bill Aucoin, KISS manager, 66

Bill Aucoin, who discovered the rock group KISS and helped build them into a musical and merchandising machine, has died from complications of prostate cancer at age 66.

I knew he'd been their manager, but I didn't know before today that (a) the makeup characters were his idea and (b) he was gay.
