BOS5 John's "Beautiful Boy". Not a dry eye in the house.
Yup, works for me.

By the way, the line that goes "Life is what happens when you're making other plans" -- is that original with this song?  Such a great quote.

it's often credited to John, but some say he got it from somewhere else.

OMG -- Ben Folds?  NTM but I love it already. BOS6.

VHM Tony Soprano -- I wouldn't want him as a father but I'd love him to be my "daddy", heh-heh.

More weepy stuff from Harry Chapin.  This has always gotten to me, despite myself.

Same here, BOS, mainly because it's the only song i've heard do to being so damned indespensible at the office.

the Chapin was inevitable, but this set has been so good I'll refrain from WOS-ing it.  ;)

OTOH... WOS John Hiatt. Have we "gone to eleven" again?

I'm glad we didn't hear Mike and the Mechanics

I generally WOS him, too.

ugh, the live audience doing "wooo!" when the music gets soft again -- I hate that.  "woooo!  I can hear myself!"

What the heck is this Apples and Peaches joint?

somebody requested it on FB, but I forget who it is.

And BOS4 another FB request: Perry Como!! "Papa Loves Mambo".  AL, you are the coolest.  (and I'm def requesting his "And I Love You So" in the next '73 set)

Holy shucking fit, leave it to a girl from Boston to play NRBQ! Knew I shoulda tuned in, but too much going on. Gah damn.
Let's get right to it.

BOS  Mr Simon's still-lovely "Father & Daughter" -- he wuz ROBBED at the Oscars that year, I tells ya!
I guess I told you before this was the song the band played last summer for the father/daughter dance at my daughter's wedding.  She loves Ben Folds (their first dance was "The Luckiest") and yes, her name is Gracie!

The Harry Chapin song always made my mom very emotional back in the day.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
