Guilty displeasure - Satchmo.  I actually like the song, but it keeps popping up in places I wish it wouldn't.

Blame Robin Williams (who blames Canada).

I completely understand that.  It was used effectively in some war movie -- Good Morning Vietnam, maybe? -- and I liked it then, despite its sappiness.  but that was years ago.  I think that usage opened the floodgates.

you are correct, sir! And it was re-released as a single and got higher on the charts in 1988 than it had in its original release year.

Yep, that restored it to the public awareness, and it's been an evergreen ever since. Except it seems to be getting a little brown around the edges.
Let's get right to it.

Really sorry to not be able to catch this one. There's not enough hours in my days right now. (I did listen to the 2002 Earth Day set yesterday, though.)

Btw, four of today's songs had made previous ED appearances. The other six, all Earth Day bustouts.  (The Dolby and Quicksilver have shown up previously in other years/themes however.)
Let's get right to it.

I'll bos Cat Stevens.  Such a great song -- it's still stuck in my head, 23 hrs later.
