The Peak, 6/30/09: 1989
« on: June 30, 2009, 07:22:49 AM »
10:02 AM    Don Henley    Last Worthless Evening, The
10:08 AM    Smithereens    Room Without a View
10:12 AM    Elvis Costello    Veronica
10:15 AM    Til Tuesday    The Other End Of The Telescope

I caught the last bit of TT, it sounded really nice.  I admit I don't know much beyond their one hit, Voices Carry.

aside: ok, so what songs could make a respectable Tuesday set?  I'm sleepy and can only think of the Moodies' Tuesday Afternoon at the moment.

SRV always gets an HM from me, even though If The House is A-Rockin' (Don't Bother Knockin') isn't my fave.

Plus, his daughter's name is Alexa, iirc.

And here's Crapton, "Pretending" he's still relevant.

not sure if you missed The Pixies' Debaser.  But I'll give it a BOS3proxy of "my best friend and fellow cat wrangler that I happen to live with."

"I like me some Steve Earle's growly Copperhead Road," he said as he spits tobacky juice.  "It's haunting and what-not," he concluded as he completed the labor union application form.
