I'm gonna pass on hearing "Higher Love" for the billionth time and enjoy an hour of JJ's '60s on KPOO.

Steve Winwood - The Finer Things
Traffic - Dear Mr. Fantasy

Don't feel like I missed anything remotely obscure ("Shanghai Noodle Factory", anyone?).  And I've got a 10:00 meeting, so enjoy today's "classic".

Rolling Stone ranked him as the #33 in the Top 100 Singers poll.

I buffered this stream and listened. There were several excerpts from interviews w SW interspersed w some commanding voiceover commentary like "Although he was born in Birmingham, England, his gritty R&B Style vocals could stand next to anything coming out of the gritty rural American South."

Steve said he tried to sound like Ray Charles.

Amazing singing voice, but his speaking voice is very "blurbly", heh.  I guess he's got to unleash it or else it's a little weird sounding.

BOS Low Spark
