We had one too, though I don't know the year, a dark green as well.  Also, my very first car was a Pontiac.

we never had a Pontiac.  I think we briefly had a Buick with those portholes on the sides.

The car we had in my earliest days was a Pontiac Ventura from the early '70s; maybe '72?  It was a caramel color.  A Google Images search didn't show me anything I especially recognized.
