TANC: In the Year 2525!

TANC JINX!!!
So there are coincidences.  But why is this a TANC anyway?

Because yesterday Mike posed a trivia question to which this group, Zager & Evans, was the answer. Shray got it right, btw.

Ya gotta read ALL the posts in ALL the threads to be sufficiently up-to-speed on TANCs. ;)

BOSes Frank and Cream.  Heh, Peaches and Cream.

Badge is one of my favorite Cream songs.  Didn't know George was involved with it, though you can hear a bit of Abbey Road guitar in there.

If you didn't know that then i get to tell the story again.  Eric & George agreed to collaborate on the song, and George got an idea for part of the song which he wrote down on a napkin when he was off by himself somewhere.  The napkin got passed to Clapton somehow wihtout the two of them actually discussing it much, and then Clapton finished writing the rest of the song.  Harrison's handwriting on the napkin was a bit hard to make out, and Clapton mistakenly thought that Harrison was also suggesting a title for the song, which he took to be 'Badge', when actually Harrison had written 'Bridge'.
Thanks, Mark - very cool.  Good explanation since Badge makes no sense at all.

right, i love that story.  And S.W.L.A.B.R. stands for "She Was Like A Bearded Rainbow" but who wants to read that?  :)
