The Emmys
« on: September 18, 2005, 05:41:50 PM »
I have a TV now.

Shock shock horror, I know.  But I'm taking in a temporary roommate in the next couple of weeks (my friend Eddie) and he couldn't abide the notion of living without one -- so he found a recently discarded one that still works moderately well, and brought it over Friday morning.

Must admit, I didn't mind being able to watch today's Eagles and Jets games without having to go to a bar.

Afterwards, I was flipping the dial to find out which stations map to which numbers.  Paused by the Emmy awards just in time to see William Shatner win an Emmy (!!) followed by a quick cut to Alan Alda angrily (!!!) tearing up what apparently was to be his acceptance speech.

Did this really happen, or was it the hash?

P.S.  I turned it off after Hugh Jackman won for his high-kicks, figuring no better thing than seeing Hugh onstage could possibly happen tonight.

That's the scariest/funniest line I've ever read.
