Please let this be one of Bob's better '80s efforts.

David Byrne with his little pee-pee and little toes. Er, in the lyrics, I mean.

compare & contrast: here's the '85 set LA's The Sound did last week:

Quote
Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush
Close to Me - The Cure
Like a Surgeon - Weird Al Yankovic
Don't Come Around Here No More - Tom Petty
Some Like It Hot - Power Station
Love is the Seventh Wave - Sting
Pop Life - Prince
Can't Get There From Here - REM
Your Latest Trick - Dire Straits
Smokin' in the Boys Room - Motley Crue

The Weird Al tune is another ATBB from them -- they seem to try to play something off-the-wall (by Triple-A standards) in each set.

See, I would have exactly reversed those.  Both are songs recycling previous glory, but I always liked The Firm, and I thought Fogerty just sounded too shrill.

That set is all over the place, in a good way.  Dire Straits, Prince, Kate Bush & Motley Crue in the same set?
