All the President's i-Tunes: now a potential 10@10
« on: April 11, 2005, 12:22:54 PM »
from sfgate, an article about what Dubya's listening to.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/04/11/MNGQTC699Q1.DTL

Dave's compiling suggestions for songs that SHOULD be on Dubya's iPod, "for a possible 10@10 next week".  Which indicates maybe we're not getting either a Tax set this week or an Earth Day set next Friday?

I'd vote for Steve Earle's "The Revolution Starts Now" and Randy Newman's "Big Hat No cattle".

I sent in Sinead O'Connor "The Emperor's New Clothes".

In that same vein, Jellyfish's "The King is Half Undressed" would work well (except we just heard it last week.)
Let's get right to it.

Ween, "You Fucked Up"

James Brown, "You Can Have Watergate, Just Give Me Some Bucks And I'll Be Straight"

Grant Lee Buffalo, "Lone Star Song" ("they had him nailed up to a T / with a T for Texas")

Genesis, "Jesus He Knows Me"

I just realized that I'm gonna miss the tax-day set this year.  Ah well, not like it ever really changes much from year to year.

Actually I might too, as I think I have a meeting Fri at 10, and I'll be at the A's/Angels game Fri nite.  Barry's pitching -- I'll tell him you said HI.
