I love the year chosen, but we didn't many cuts off the beaten track, did we?  Maybe pfunk qualifies, ABBA sorta....

No -- nothing qualifies. This was one of Dave's least-consequential '76 sets ever. No, I'm not wearing the crankypants today, I'm quite serious.  Nothing even remotely interesting, even if some of them were enjoyable. WTF? Dave's spending so much time listening to Kid Rock, it's warping his brain.

maybe he should retire..

coulda done without Boston, but I'm sure Alicat disagrees.
Indeed. Whole set was fantastic. I was driving up to SF and missed last few tunes. Phoned in BOS for TOTHC.

Actually I think this is rather timely:

I understand about indecision
But I don't care if I get behind

So all you undecided voters -- wake the f--k up!

Funny, for ages I thought "I don't care if I get behind" was "I don't care about get-me-high".
ditto and ditto.
Last  night on Chelsea Lately, she made an outright statement about voting No on 8. Wake up everybody.

Bonus track quiz:  Which of today's bands sometimes performed as Soft White Underbelly.

Bonus track:  Bad Company, "Blue and Gold"

nice pick (song is actually called "Silver Blue and Gold" -- or in your case, you may prefer "Silver and Black versus Blue and Gold."  A little AFC West humor there fer ya.)

Didn't you answer that question before you asked it?

more cowbell!

Not to mention key-tar!
I've seen BOC three times in the past five years at Slims.  Yes, they are WELL beyond their arena rock god days, and Buck Dharma looks like an accountant, but he can still shred!

I saw them in 1978 as the 2nd of 5 billed acts (Styx headlined) and the keytar solo on "(DF)TR" Rawked!  Really want to see them again, and was sad to have missed their recent Santa Cruz gig.

I've seen them a couple of time -- once at the Cow Palace (I think) in the late 70's, early 80's.  Nice lasers.  And once as Soft White Underbelly at a small club through some window pane.  Which was nice.
