It's been less than 3 weeks since or last foray into 1970, at which time I posted:

always glad to hear 1970, which is strangely enough by far the rarest year between 1968-1987 over the last 4 years:

The fewest sets from any other year between 1968-1987 is 29, but 1970 only had 23.

Here's a colorful band for ya. (Blues Image for you following along non-musically.)

Did they have any other songs approaching this one in popularity?  They're a OHW as far as I'm concerned.

Green, Black, what color will be next?  Big Yellow Taxi?  For You Blue?

Okay, so I'm bored.  Here are some other 'color' songs, all from 1970.

After The Gold Rush
Band of Gold
Fancy Colours
Green-Eyed Lady
Little Green Bag
Peaches En Regalia
Yellow River

Colour My World, also...

well, here's Blue(s) Image... OK never mind.  Ride Captain Ride upon your mystery shit!
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

OMFG! BOS4 just 'cause it's the (not-often-heard) loooong version of Diana's "Ain't No Mountain".

"You see...my love is alive... it's like a seed... that only needs the thought of you... to grow..."  Drag Queens everywhere rejoice!
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

It was their only Top 40 hit, not sure about the Hot 100.

The bonus track continued the color theme.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
