Keep bustin'!  BOS5 Prince for sheer lunacy; this set is wildly better than I could've imagined -- no less than 4 bustouts so far!!!

but "Batdance" will be the bustout of the decade, considering it's one of the biggest hits of 1989 and has never graced that dreaded year.

Hey, I missed the birthday salutes the past two days; Mike and Rod, did either of you get a shout?

BOS, The Archies.

No, neither did.  I have remembered to call Dave about them in the past, but missed it this year.  Sorry!

Gotta give Spin Doctors a VHM, this is the song that made me buy the album, before "Two Princes" became the big hit.

Plus it's an Alison.

Agreed.  Actually, I think I bought the album for "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong".

No problem, bub. This set was a nice B-Day surprise. Set of the Week, and maybe the Month (tho' it's only the 2nd).  See ya Monday for (presumably) the Cinco de Mayo Set.

05/02/2008 - FRIDAY!!! International Comic Book Day!!

1.  Black Sabbath - Iron Man
2.  Kinks - Wish I Could Fly Like Spiderman (BEST OF SET!!)
3.  Queen - Flash
4.  Donovan - Sunshine Superman
5.  Ramones - Sheena is a Punk Rocker
6.  XTC - That's Really Super, Supergirl!
7.  Archies - Sugar Sugar
8.  Prince - Batdance
9.  REM - Superman
10.  Spin Doctors - Jimmy Olson's Blues

BONUS TRACK:  Kinks - Catch Me Now I'm Falling

I'm kinda torn--it's messed up that one of the songs in the set and the bonus track are not only by the same band but on the same album. However, it's the Kinks, so it could be worse.

ETA: What is worse is that they called the first kinks tune Wish I Could Fly Like *Spiderman*--WTF?!?!?

That is freakin' hilarious!  "Wish I Could Shoot Splooj Outta My Hands Like Spiderman" just doesn't scan as well.   But that Black Sabbath disco mix, "Wish I Could Fly Like Iron Man", is killer.

BOS, The Archies.

Jug's got mad technique.  And I like how Reggie rocks the Tommy James ensemble.
