The Peak, 2/18/08: It's 1994
« on: February 18, 2008, 07:16:04 AM »
Just as I remember the year: Urge Overkill's take on "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon," followed by STP's "Interstate Love Song," and then a personal fave, Indigo Girls' "Least Complicated," from the criminally underrated Swamp Ophelia, their best album to date.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

WOS to "Black Hole Sun," which was treated as some sort of massive watershed moment for grunge when it came out, though I never got the point of it.

Indigo Girls got BOS from me, with HM to Smashing Pumpkins' "Landslide," a cover that only I still enjoy, apparently.

Aerosmith    Blind Man
Urge Overkill    Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon
Stone Temple Pilots    Interstate Love Song
Indigo Girls    Least Complicated
Tom Petty    You Wreck Me
Freddie Jones Band    In a Daydream
Soundgarden    Black Hole Sun
Pink Floyd    Keep Talking
Dave Matthews Band    Ants Marching
Smashing Pumpkins    Landslide
