Go get 'em!

Btw, I assume you're still at the old gig for the moment? I haven't had time to read back thru all of what went on while I was out.
Let's get right to it.

Your sentiment and your .sig quote go together nicely.

Not sure. Went well enough but would certainly be challenging for me. I cuurently have a production group and an editorial group to refine my efforts. I'd be semi-naked in new position. Responsible for design and mostly self edit own prose. Would probably be more involved than just the 8-5 grind. Interviewed with main person who writes everything and needs a very good writer to contribute and have the ability to give the OK on work of others. They churn out materials frequently and it includes lots of high-exposure print materials and ads. The writing is factual and important to the lives of a lot of people.

I really like the purpose of the work and I'd be able to get up to speed quickly. There are more qualified writers than I out there, including most of you I think so my hopes are not high. Honestly, I don't really WANT to work hard, more than 40 hours a week. I also can't survive on unemployment so I had better get back to searching for bright horizons.

keep up the search - it's good to know what's out there. and, no, there's no need to throw yourself into a hectic work schedule. you don't have to take the first offer, either...
