I'm enjoying this instrumental, but blanking on it.  The Dregs?

Nah, that was Mr. Beck.  Off of Blow by Blow, but except for one or two, I can't remember the names of the tunes.

Todd's Initiation, here's the popular BOS winner. And like most of the rest of the set, we've heard it a time or two.

Yep, not in the more distant past, but at least a couple times a year the last couple years.

Y'know, we may have heard these songs a time or two, but it still remains that these are pretty much great songs right down the line. Not the rarities Mark had been hoping for, but when has Dave ever acceded to any predictions posted herein? I'd say this is still a pretty fine set.
Let's get right to it.

Bowie's SUTLM, otoh, has been played at least twice yearly going back as far as my records.

Looks like this set is heading in the same direction as yesterday, 2 nice to hear less common tunes (Who & Pretenders yesterday, Manhattan Transfer & Jeff Beck today) and 8 retreads.

Okay, you've got a point.  But I never cared much for this remake of "Never Can Say Goodbye".

BOS Bad Company.  A bustout apparently.

Not a bustout, but I really never get tired of hearing it: The Rockford theme.

OK, one blatant katrina to wrap it up--I could go several years and not miss hearing the Rockford Files.
Let's get right to it.

I don't get the attraction to this one either.  Played way too often for my tastes.

Mike Post -- underappreciated genius. '70s and '80s TV would not have been the same without him.  But I wish Dave would play "Hill St Blues" half as often as "Rockford".

1.  Manhattan Transfer - That Cat is High
2.  Fleetwood Mac - World Turning
3.  Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run (BEST OF SET!!)
4.  10cc - I'm Not in Love (BEST OF SET!!)
5.  Jeff Beck - Constipated Duck
6.  Todd Rundgren - Initiation (BEST OF SET!!)
7.  David Bowie - Somebody Up There Likes Me
8.  Gloria Gaynor - Never Can Say Goodbye
9.  Bad Company - Good Lovin' Gone Bad
10.  Mike Post - Theme From Rockford Files

BONUS TRACK:  Little Feat - All That You Dream

Looks like Annalisa scored again today. Good lord, "Born To Run"? Dave's def played that in a '75 set within the last 3 months.  Manhattan Transfer is a rarity, but I'd've still preferred "Operator".  My BOs woulda been Beck --quite rare if not a bustout.

OTOH, gets my BOS vote.  HM to Bowie and to Disco Gaynor (who did an even better job with "Reach Out, I'll Be There" on the same album).

I know Dave's played "Constipated Duck" before because in the back announce he chuckled as he said it, and I know he's chuckled saying it before.  Ducks are inherently funny (a man walks into a bar with a duck on his head), and constipated ducks just crack Dave up.

we've heard it once each in '03, '04 & '05, the last being an all-request Strictly Instrumental set.
