Happy Friday!  We start with some Roxy unfamiliar to me, "Same Old Scene."  Nice sound.  I'm surprised they're never cited as a Killers influence.

Bruce has Friday on his mind and he's Out in the Street.  Oh, how I wish that had been the case in another sense.

After a BOS in my own Private Idaho, I'm puzzled by the presence of an acoustic "Space Oddity" -- did he re-record it for Scary Monsters?

OMGWTF: "I Wanna Be a Lifeguard"?!?

Pairs nicely with a fine Rock Lobster, I should think.

OMGWTF indeed! Blotto! Sorry I missed that -- is it new to you?  It was HUGE on WNEW-FM that year, on a tiny label from upstate NY. If a major had picked it up and run with it, it really could've been big, I think.  And yes, it's a wonderful "Rock Lobster" corrolary. I have the 12-inch, which also includes a Supremes cover.

Rolling Stones Emotional Rescue

Blotto I Wanna Be a Lifeguard
