This is not really happen-i-hayng: Tori turns Kate Bush into a Cornflake Girl.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

After Oasis became such glaring and relentless assholes, it became easy to forget how good their early songs were.  BOS to "Live Forever."

And Mike, you are indeed conspicuous in your absence.  Best wishes as you jump to the next stepping stone!

Wow, an unexpected major BOS: Barenaked Ladies, "Jane," one of my favorite songs ever.  "I'd bring her gold and frankincense and myrrh / She thought that I was making fun of her / She made me feel I was 14 again / But she thinks it's cooler if we just stay friends."

I feel your pain, compadre.

PS: It took me years to realize that the line "no Juliana next to my Evan" was a reference to the then couple Hatfield and Dando.

VHM to Lisa Loeb & 9 Stories' "Stay," a sledgehammer from that summer for me, and (trivia note) the first #1 single from an unsigned act.
