Praise da LAWD! Graham Parker's fab cover of "Hold Back the Night" BOS, it'll be tough to beat this one today.

From The Pink Parker, his pink vinyl EP.

I'd forgotten about the pink vinyl.  I think my friend Brent had that.

VHM "I Don't Wanna Know".

This is one of my favorite FMac songs of the Buckingham-Nicks era, maybe my overall favorite.  BOS #2 from me.  Would be #3 if I hadn't been in the shower when the Core played.

Woo Hoo!  Another BOS for Ram Jam.  Their follow up album had one of the great, little seen album covers of all time.

VHMs galore: RamJam, Foreigner, Doobs. But Mr Parker is head-and-shoulders above all so far.

Woo Hoo! Disco Star Wars!  I have an endless version of this (it's gotta be 10 minutes) on a Eurodisco compilation CD.  Best Cheeze of Set.

Who's Whinyface?

Yvonne Elliman. You'll have to ask the Princess for the backstory on that one--I suspect it came via her pal Marcy Levy, but I don't know anything beyond that.

Hmmm, never noticed there were two different women on that song.  I'll have to listen for that next time.  So is Marcy Amelia's pal, or Yvonne's?

marcy's my pal. i call yvonne "whinyface" because she looks like she's whining when she sings. almost as bad as diana ross in the wiz, though diana (in the film) appears as if someone is also beating her while she sings.
