1986 was the year I graduated from High School (I guess this makes me a kid to most of you here). But this set wasn't that great. Actually most of the music from 1986 wasn't that great but I did like the Genesis tune. I would vote them WOS for the later part of the decade (with that awful "No Son of Mine" tune leading the way).

Not entirely!   8)  I'm a 1991 alumnus, and the Princess of Cairo is a couple years younger than me.  In general, the '80s weren't as bad as Dave remembers them.

Counting backwards we have heard them in the 2nd, 4th and 8th to last sets.  Including today makes 4 out of the last 9.  But just to be consistently inconsistent, Dave didn't play 'em for 9 months prior to Jan '05.

I was a couple of years out of college in '86, and very conscious that music that year sucked more than at any point in my life.  I felt it got better in '87, and never bottomed out again like that, but I haven't even tried to listen to pop radio for the past decade plus.

I remember well the first time he played them -- we were all thrilled and they won BOS that day -- a sure sign of a future Katrina.
