never sick of "isn't it time?" smooth rock, yeah!

Never a Katrina. Always lovely.

Agreed, but I still called Dave to vote for the Rubinoos, & he said it had gotten quite a few votes.

What say we stuff the ballot box if only to encourage Dave to find more bustouts.?  I have since used our email link to vote again.

i voted for them, too. but maybe the fact that he played them shows that we  already have some influence. still not as great as the radio ga-gods. but maybe a bustout a week is a nice sign. we can't expect to never hear the police again, as nice as that would be.

now! another one i've never heard! original versio of nick lowe's "i knew the bride?" and didn't nick lowe have two versions of the song, anyway?

That was Dave Edmunds singing, pretty sure.  Perhaps Rockpile.

Just to clear that up, at this time Dave & Nick were using the same backing band.  When they decided to jointly front the band they became Rockpile.  In other words any Lowe or Edmunds solo work from this period could also be called 4/5 of Rockpile.  So Davefish is pretty much dead-on on both counts.

They were a Berkeley band, maybe you've met somewhere?

Little Feat, VHM.
I totally missed songs 3-6 while working.

Ecstasy now with the volume up.
Sing to me Elvis!
CBB totally takes me back.
