Least Necessary: ELO "Don't Bring Me Down". I'd much prefer "Shine a Little Love", which you rarely hear.

I thought albatrosses were undesirable companions for the seafaring?

ETA: Thanks for picking up on the precise line I was thinking of when I made that comment.

Nah, he apparently stayed in the background most of the show, and of course my friends didn't know who he was (since they didn't own Red Octopus, like I did), but when they did DWDTG, he came out & shredded CD into a squirming puddle of meat.  All I heard the next day was, "Some old guy who looks like Scatman Crothers just wasted Charlie Daniels."  And I said, oh, that must have been Papa John Creach.

No, they are good omens, it's killing them and eating them that brings you bad luck.  Go back & read the poem again.

Holy shit: An album track from the Jefferson Starship's Freedom at Point Zero!  Alas, by far my least favorite song from the album, but props for digging deep.

And I had done an hellish thing,
And it would work 'em woe :
For all averred, I had killed the bird
That made the breeze to blow.
Ah wretch ! said they, the bird to slay,
That made the breeze to blow !
