5 June 2017: it's... 1976
« on: June 05, 2017, 09:27:35 AM »
6/05:

On today’s edition of Soundwaves 10@10, we’ll hear the song that only became a hit when
the live version was released, the dreamy smash with two ties to the Beatles, and the
orgasmic Donna Summer single that originally clocked in at almost 17 minutes!

You can't argue that it's not a pretty solid representation of 1976...

The Queen track is interesting, maybe even good (Brian May has some tasty spots), in what must have been their attempt to repeat the success of Bohemian Rhapsody.  In any event, it's the only thing in the set approaching a rarity.

Still, personally, every now and again I don't mind Peter Frampton showing me the way, or having BOC remind us not to fear the Reaper.  But that's just me.

BOS, BOC, mainly because I'm seeing them this Friday night in Santa Rosa...
