"we'll time-travel thru the '80s, New Year's Eve style!" sez AL on the promo. So, it's a Vertical Tasting kinda deal?

ETA: it's a rerun.

There was a prerecorded announcement that today's set would be an encore, so maybe AL is taking today off?

It's a New Years encore set from 1980 -- with Devo leading the charge.
Let's get right to it.

    1.  ('80)  Devo- Whip It
    2.  ('81)  Rick James- Super Freak
    3.  ('82)  Stray Cats- Rock This Town
    4.  ('83)  Oingo Boingo- Who Do You Want To Be?
    5.  ('84)  Cyndi Lauper- Girls Just Want To Have Fun (B.O.S!)
    6.  ('85)  Dead or Alive- You Spin Me 'Round (Like a Record)

Ah, I see Mike is on it -- an 80s Dick Clark-laden Vertical Tasting.
Let's get right to it.
