Christmas Mix CDs
« on: December 14, 2005, 11:19:29 AM »
So my CD burner works!  I finally made a test mix this afternoon, and quite like how it turned out.  Let me know if any of you want the following as a holiday-gift CD, or if you'd rather hold out for a different mix (either "The Best of 2005" or "Songs for Underdogs," both of which I've been compiling in my head for some time).

Gaz

Sophistipop Mix Vol. 1:
1. Addrisi Brothers, "Nanny and the Professor"
2. Simon & Garfunkel, "My Little Town"
3. Al Stewart, "Year of the Cat"
4. Moody Blues, "Forever Autumn"
5. Nicolette Larson, "Lotta Love"
6. Yoko Ono, "Every Man Has a Woman Who Loves Him"
7. Buzzcocks, "Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)?"
8. Madness, "It Must Be Love"
9. JoBoxers, "Just Got Lucky"
10. Hoodoo Gurus, "What's My Scene?"
11. Blow Monkeys, "Digging Your Scene"
12. Bob Mould, "See a Little Light"
13. Teenage Fanclub, "I Saw the Light"
Total Running Time: 47.5 minutes
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

The lists they have are called iMix'es.  Here's one I whipped up just for the demo of it all:

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPublishedPlaylist?id=608490

You need to have iTunes, and be connected to the internet to make this work.  The phobos.apple.com url will redirect you to a page in itunes.  We could all publish lists like this, but to what purpose?  I'm not sure.

Wow.  This would be a luverly mix to have (albeit, if I may be so impudent, without the "No No Song").  Do a trade wit'cha?  Do you want the mix I posted above (proper subtitle: "Am I Crazy to Believe in Ideals?")?

Consider it burned sans the no no.
Your's is cool. Can Nicollette Larson be deleted?
