Just popped in in time to catch the Armatrading cut, but am quite digging the Tommy Bolin cut--Sweet Burgundy. Doubt if I've heard this since college.

That was nice.  I was unaware he was even still alive then.

The answer to Ginger's question is Deep Purple, right?  I thought he OD'd right after that, in '75.

According to Allmusic, he died Dec. 4, 1976.  "Sweet Burgundy" is on Private Eyes, which came out in '76.  I have the cd and it's one I listen to in it's entirety quite often...

Rod, one of these days you're gonna have to let me invite myself over to your house with my laptop so I can rip a big pile of your CD's.  What would it take?  A homemade cheesecake?  A fifth of bourbon?  Single malt?  I'm serious.

No problem.  I am almost always a couch potato on Saturdays.  We can pick one, and you can come on over.  Just need to remember to bring home the ones still at the office (including the Tommy Bolin).

I drink Irish whiskey (Jameson's, preferrably).
