It seems to me that whereas DC wanted 10@10 to be loaded with such rotation mainstays, the new PD has the opposite view.

Unless he just hasn’t gotten to 10@10 yet, like he has with Connected.  :'(

Has Connected changed that much?  I honestly think 10@10 has improved since the new guy took over.

Yeah, Connected has changed a lot. Dred used to bust out deep cuts and more obscure singles almost daily...now it’s almost entirely well known singles. I’ll give him that most of the tracks aren’t in regular rotation, but they still are typical of KFOG fodder. The best we can expect is once in awhile we might get an out of format single or a somewhat (but not completely) obscure single.

This last week was particularly bad (with 9/5 being less bad than the others):

SEPTEMBER 2: WOMEN'S NAMES
"Veronica," Elvis Costello
"The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Jane Says," Jane's Addiction
"867-5309 (Jenny)," Tommy Tutone

SEPTEMBER 3: MEN'S NAMES
"Major Tom (Coming Home)," Peter Schilling
"Joey," Concrete Blonde
"Tom's Diner," Suzanne Vega w/DNA
"What's the Frequency, Kenneth?,” REM

SEPTEMBER 4: STUPID
"American Idiot," Green Day
"Stupid Girl," Garbage
"Psycho Killer," Talking Heads
"Dumb,” Nirvana

SEPTEMBER 5: BRAINS
"Always on My Mind," Pet Shop Boys
"Suspicious Minds," Fine Young Cannibals
"Einstein on the Beach," Counting Crows
"You Might Think," the Cars
