Forget uber LN, "Tonight's The Night" is the ickiest (& probably stupidest) song of the decade. To wit: encouraging a 'virgin child' to 'just take a drink' so that he can 'come inside' = very icky. Telling a virgin to let her inhibitions run wild = tonight is NOT gonna be the night = very stupid.
While extremely cheesy, I'm not so sure about it being icky. I see nothing in the lyrics that
preclude consent or mutual desire on the part of the (presumably young) woman. Nevermind
Mr. Stewart's age; this may well simply be a song about a young couple in love. The woman
is understandably hesitant but still wants to have sex, and the guy is trying to get her to relax.
It's not necessarily an underhanded seduction.

Yes, context is important. It also presupposes that a woman is not entirely in command of
her own sexuality, and must be otherwise coaxed or induced to have sex. It's patronizing.
As opposed to some more contemporary young women, who will just as soon give you a
blowjob as shake your hand, rather than engage in the more risky act of intercourse.
