Well, that was... rather predictable.

my '94 wish-list, FWIW -- any one of these woulda been welcome:

Lucas With the Lid Off
Most Beautiful Girl in the World (Prince)
Here Comes the Hotstepper (Ini Kamoze)
Stones in the Road (Mary Chapin Carpenter)
All That Heaven Will Allow (Mavericks)
Evie’s Tears (Freedy Johnston)
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Beautiful People "If 60's Were 90's"

another VHM to a track that was once novel, now less so.
Woulda been BOS to me, but of course the year is somewhat muddled.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

This was by far her best 90's set during her return IMHO, even with Clapton in it (and be that as it may, that might be a bustout).

One may not like Hootie, but I do think them necessary (they were in the Top 40 for over 100 consecutive weeks 1994-1997). And frankly I think there is a bit of a Nickelback effect with them (no, they weren't great, but not nearly as bad as they're made out to be).

I think "If 60's Were 90's" might be approaching Katrina status.

Was this also "Lovetown"'s debut 10@10 appearance? Apart from that and EC, I'm pretty sure everything else has appeared.

actually AL played it twice in her first tenure. I'm too lazy to see if Dave did too, tho' I suspect he may have. I don't disagree about Hootie being necessary, I don't hate them.... but I think "Hold My Hand" is the song of theirs we hear most often.

I would love to hear "Old Man And Me" or "Hannah Jane" at some point, but I'm not holding my breath. I do believe the other three hits off of "Cracked View Mirror" have made appearances ("Let Her Cry", "Only Wanna Be With You", and "Time").

BTW, FP in the 'snipes thread says we're getting a '60s set on Monday (presumably AL told him), and that inspired the comment: "Yay! Hendrix and Clapton again!" which I thought was prettty funny (and probably true).  We'll wait and see if there's a suggestion thread.

The idea that AL would share insider knowledge with FP is pretty damn funny in of itself.

Nope, although Dave never played it.

This is only its fifth appearance, but Renee did play it twice last year.

Lovetown was today's only bust-out.

I'm confused... has AL just starting posting BOS on FB, or have you just started picking it up there?
Of her first ten sets, I only have BOS for four of them.  I'm really curious what took BOS for last
Monday's '71 show.

She made a comment on FB that she was sorry for not being up-to-speed on BOS votes. Must be the crutches.  ;)
