Two hip-hop pop hits in today's set.  Interesting.

As much of a trainwreck as this set was, at least it tried to be interesting.  And thankfully avoided the curse of sounding like a Hot AC sample hour like 85+% of post-mid-90s sets do.

That Slack-Jawed Fleas feat. JT was a bustout, no?

nice to know the kids are down wit da hippity-hop.  (and gawd knows the DM and White Stripes tunes were unnecessary KFOG playlist regulars).

I actually don't think this is too bad. I can see annoyance with Dido (although I like it) and with the Black Eyed Peas (which you have to give props for not being KFOG schtick), and "7 Nation Army" probably qualifies as LN.

10@10 is made for songs like "I'm Shakin'" and "Gravedigger", moderate hits that don't get any love anymore. There's a Jane's Addiction song that isn't "Jane Says" or "Been Caught Stealing". And the Transplants is NTM.

Overall I'd give the set a "B".

Outkast "Hey Ya!"

I'd say there's a 99 percent chance this bouncy little pop gem will get my BOS vote, but I recall a bit of displeasure among the Snipe contingent last time this showed up in a 10@10. Hoping either I am not remembering correctly, or that they have come around in the ensuing months.

The only problem I have w the song is the bad photography advice it gives:

and overall, I'd agree. Tho' it seems to me I hear "Gravedigger" often enuf on KFOG. They're running those liners that say "KFOG is your station for ____________" and DM is one of those fill-in-the-blanks.

A big reason for that may be that the DMB is set to tour this year for the first time in a few summers, so expect to be well saturated with Dave Matthews before the summer is done.
Let's get right to it.

Looks like Jane's Addiction, Dave Matthews, Transplants, Rooney, and the BEP's are all bustouts.  (Not that that's statistically difficult given that we haven't gone to 2003 much, but still, credit where credit is due.)  The Postal Service got a spin on the love songs 10@10.
