Well, at least Fred will be happy.

Wasn't "Beverly Hills Cop" from 1985?

BHC was a December '84 release. But it was the #1 movie for, like, 3 months.

Proxy of shray, "Tenderness"; BOS from me for the Smiths  -- I think I'll bail after Nik Kershaw. Hope AL feels better tomorrow, it'll be my last 10@10 before vacay.

OK. I always associate the movie with "Axel F" and "The Heat Is On", etc., 1985 hits. And I didn't see it until August 1985.

a weird memory, but: I was in Charleston. WV on a job for 2 days in Dec '84 and with nothing to do on a Thurs nite, I went down the street to see "BHC" at an AMC multiplex -- the first AMC theater I'd ever been in, as there were none in the NYC metro at the time. It was the first time I'd ever encountered (a) cupholders and (b) movie-theater nachos.  I was astounded that Charleston (!) had things that NY theaters didn't.

And THAT is why Charleston, WV is the wonderful place that it is!
