i saw a godawful clip of the video a couple of days ago. i couldn't figure out why willie nelson was in a jessica simpson video. then it dawned on me. some people will do anything for weed money.

Don't forget, it was only two years ago that Willie joined Toby Keith on his despicable ode to lynching, "Beer for My Horses."  Obviously, he still has plenty of debts, whether to the IRS or to his dealer, and will take an easy paycheck whenever he can.

I have heard the cover of "These Boots," and it's simply hideous.  I actually liked Jessica when she debuted in late 1999 with a big swooping ballad called "I Wanna Love You Forever."  I knew nothing about her at the time, and wish that were still the case.  The song's already had its rise and fall in the Hot 100: It debuted at 30, rocketed to 14 the next week, and has plummeted in the three weeks since.  I bet her father jacks off to the video, though.
