« on: March 05, 2012, 07:58:57 AM »
Mon 3/5/12: 1970!

a year that never sucks.

But "Vehicle" is a Drive-specific LN.

VHM Doors, down to da roadhouse.  CSNY carry on. And in a way, so does Bobby Bloom.

uber-LN: "Layla".

BOS Leon Russell's orig "Song For You"  -- this is nice, as I've been hearing the Donny Hathaway take recently on 'DAS.

Grow some Funk-49 of your own, Walsh-o.

"25 or 6 to 4" airs at 25 to 11 (CST).

Only you know and Dave Mason knows. But I think he heard about it from Delaney & Bonnie.

LN3: Macca, amazed.

Ides of March - Vehicle
Doors - Roadhouse Blues
CSNY - Carry On
Bobby Bloom - Montego Bay
Derek & The Dominoes - Layla
Leon Russell - A Song For You
James Gang - Funk #49
Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4
Dave Mason - Only You Know and I Know
Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed

Tue 3/6/12: 1979

Led Zeppelin - Fool In The Rain
Eagles - The Long Run
Talking Heads - Life During Wartime
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk
The Knack - My Sharona
Foreigner - Dirty White Boy
Rainbow - Since You've Been Gone
Tom Petty - Here Comes My Girl
Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays
Journey - Too Late

a decidedly mixed bag with LNs from the Knack, Petty, Eagles; WOSes from Foreigner and Journey.  But I'll always BOS "Tusk" and the Rainbow tune.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Thur 3/8/12: 1972

Hold yer heads up! and reel in the Dan with LN1.

BOS-in-perpetuity "I Saw the Light"

LN2: "Brandy", layin' sailors down.  VHM Paul & "Julio" & da Queen o' Corona.

BOS2 Chi Coltrane's always-fab "Thunder & Lightning", best song ever written about a big schlong.

LN3: "Bang a Gong". Unnecessary in any incarnation.

Borderline, but it's nice to hear the loooong version of "Roundabout" after getting the 45 edit from Casey K over the weekend.

LN4: Neil Young America, doin' some horse.

And speaking of big schlongs, Humble Pie wanna spend 30 days in your hole.
