The Peak week of 10/17/11
« on: October 17, 2011, 07:35:45 AM »
Mon 10/17/11: 1975

OMFG: J Geils, "Love-itis"!  BOSFRA, baby! Shake what yo' mama gave you!

sorry I missed: Ms Baez, George's "You" and Miss Ronstadt covering Neil Young.

Holee crap: Television, "Little Johnny Jewel Pts 1 & 2"! uber-BOS2. Rob knows what was shakin' in NYC in the '70s, ahtellyouwhut!

ETA: Peak-heads are as annoying as Fogheads -- Rob played "My Little Town" and someone asked "Was that an Art Garfunkle song I heard?"

Peak stream ain't workin' -- no loss, as I see Shawn Mullins, Goo Goo Dolls, Cake & Hole on the "just played" list.

Rob in his element -- "Starry Eyes" always gets a BOS.

Sorry I missed JJ's "I'm the Man" and the uncensored version of "Apple Scruffs Don't"

OTOH, I didn't need "Pop Muzik" this morning. or "Heartache Tonite"

Sorry I missed Jimi's "Dolly Dagger".  Marvin make me wanna holla!

proxy of Geoff: "Bertha"

otherwise, surprisingly snoozeworthy for a Rob-in-the-'70s set: the Who, The Cat Man, Van the Man, the inevitable "Imagine" and (sheesh) "Maggie May".

ooo! BOS Broooce, covering Mr Waits' "Jersey Girl" as if it were his own. *swoon*

Glad I missed the Cars, Roger Hodgson having a dream and Percy helping Caledonia toss a brick.

and here's Bowie, the "Blue Jean" genie. Huey walks a thin line.

Well, you might as well BOS2 Aztec Camera's "Jump" cover. And Rob judiciously played the short TV version of the Miami Vice theme, rather than the full 45 version.

This Seger rarity, "Understanding", gets a surprised BOS3.

BOS4 the Purple One, in his reign "Rain".

ETA: someone on the Peak's FB page wanted to know who did "Jump" first, VH or AC?  ::)  Sorry, was that too snarky?
