Joel "Taz" DeGregorio, longtime keyboardist in the Charlie Daniels Band and co-writer of the group's biggest hit, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," was killed Wednesday in a one-car crash near Nashville. According to the band, DeGregorio was driving on Interstate 40 on his way to meet the band's tour bus when he was involved in the accident. He was 67 and spent more than 40 years in the group.
