Oh, it's *this* "Starry Eyes".  Both good songs, anyway.  Last night's FB post was a bit confusing...

so confusing that nobody got around to making requests... maybe that was the idea ;)

I got the sense she did not want requests.  I often wonder if that is the source of our disappointment too, sometimes.  Yesterday's set sucked arse for sure, but did we have heightened expectations because of some of the requests that were made (which I am sure DC will not allow a wide array of stuff to not be included....)

yes, absolutely.  She does have a backlog of "suggestions" and she does dip into them (I've gotten requests played months later).

I also think there are things Dennis will just not allow.... Metallica, Guns n Roses, Ministry, some deeper cuts from standard KFOG bands (stones, U2, beatles, etc).  Dave and Annalisa used to play them, but not recently... not since the station got constantined.  he's a nice guy too... and i know he is placating his bosses - but sometimes it shouldn't be only about the bottom line.  i am off my high horse now.

Tschuess!

This is probably, "Trina is a punk rocker", but it's a welcome Foreigner palette cleanser.

BOS5 Joey & Co.

"Dr Love" is a bustout per the Shraytabase -- I can't remember if AL has played it before.

The Ramones: a piece of Semifreddi bread to Foreigners crappy Cabernet.

The Ramones: a piece of Semifreddi bread to Foreigners crappy Cabernet.

the rawk stations in Lou Gramm's hometown, Rochester, NY, gave Foreigner heavy airplay.  And when they were popular, my listening habits gravitated toward those stations, so they have imprinted on me.   They have some good stuff, but a lot of dreck.  Mick "The Other Mick Jones" Jones has some big-arse guitar sounds, which I get into.

well, anyway, enuf trying to defend and rationalize a crap band.  I know they suck, but I like them...  :)

I picked up a couple of Foreigner cds for free once.  The deeper cuts are better than the hits (like the aforementioned "At War With The World"), and I like the guitar work too.  A friend of mine saw them a couple of time way-back-when and said they kicked butt.
