BOS, Pixies.

Oh yeah, BOS.  Ahoooooooooooooooo!

Pixies will be getting a BOS vote... as will LC.

Like Jane's Addiction, but it seems that we always hear Jane Says.....or am I crazy.  I might be crazy.

You're not crazy.  At least, not about this.  Still, a fine tune.

I don't get the Jane's hype.  Same with RHCP.  Must be an L.A. junkie thang.

I haven't heard this one in a while, I forget who it is and I think the title must be Start A Fire...?  BOSFRA

I getting overtones of Bananarama and a whiff of Mink Deville.

Graham Parker.  Recognized the voice, but don't know this song.  Bananarama?  Really?

It's not that I thought it was them singing, but there was a couple moments in the production when I got a déjà vu thing for Cool Cruel Summer.

I like Jane, prefer RHCP.  It clearly is a junkie thing.

But isn't this in regular rotation?

By the way, I have decided to give a minus one to one Katrina per year.

That's a Katrina, not crap. If somebody wants to request Tiffany's "I Saw Him Standing There" or "Dial My Heart" by the Boys, I will not interfere (although I reserve the right to mock ).  ;D

I absolutely LOVE this idea. Anxious to see who on FB starts to copy it and make it a regular meme.

I feel like I missed nothing; thought sure my Steve Earle request had a shot in light of Har'ly Strik'ly. I'm not even gonna subject myself to the FB comments; I'm sure they'll annoy me.

10/3/11- Monday! Musical Notes from...1988!

 1.  Neil Young & The Bluenotes-This Note's For You
 2.  Escape Club- Wild Wild West
(News: Reagan's Soviet Union joke)
 3.  Leonard Cohen- First We Take Manhattan (B.O.S-Tie!)
(Movie: Big)
 4.  Midnight Oil- The Dead Heart
(Movie: A Fish Called Wanda)
 5.  U2- Desire
 6.  The Pixies- Where Is My Mind? (B.O.S-Tie!)
(Movie: Heathers)
 7.  Jane's Addiction- Jane Says
 8.  Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers- Tomorrow People
 9.  Graham Parker- Get Started, Start a Fire
(News: Space Shuttle Discovery)
10.  Talking Heads- (Nothing But) Flowers

I thought maybe the Cohen or the Pixies songs were bustouts but AL's played 'em each once before. Rarities, to be sure. And Dave of course played Cohen's "Everybody Knows" in MANY '88 sets.
