Pretty powerful stuff. This morning, the pastor at the church was talking about 9/11, and how us on the left coast were more removed from it, but of course, it doesn't take too many degrees of Kevin Bacon to find a connection. One woman was breaking down, just remembering the morning she was trying to contact her daughter, who worked in the Pentagon. She eventually found her, but just that singular memory of her personal terror is still too raw. Another woman lived nearby the Pentagon, so it was quite real to her too. A friend of mine in the finance industry was on the phone at the time with a friend at Cantor-Fitzgerald. I'm sure most of you don't have to go too far to find a connection.
