Wednesday, 1991

tuned in to hear Siouxsie send her kisses and Joe Walsh implore that he's ordinary and average.  I like Joe Walsh so he gets a pass on this one, but many folks will probably not dig it.

ooh, Marshall Crenshaw for the second day in a row, a faster, rave-up song called Better Back Off.  nice, NTM.

(in reverse order)

Better Back Off - Marshall Crenshaw
Ordinary Average Guy - Joe Walsh
Kiss Them For Me - Siouxsie & The Bansh
Crazy - Seal
American Music - Violent Femmes
There She Goes - The La's
Texarakana - R.E.M.
Seeing Things - The Black Crowes
The Other Side of Summer - Elvis Costello
Right Here Right Now - Jesus Jones

Fri 6/17/11: 1987

missed Hiatt (thank gawd) but arrived in time for Zevon's "Sentimental Hygiene" -- uber-BOS.  Rob has played it before; wish AL would do the same.

Children by the millions etc etc. VHM the 'mats.

WOS Seger's "Shakedown -- his commercial peak and artistic nadir.

WOS2 Whitesnake, if only because Romney's appropriated "Here I Go Again" for his campaign (to David Coverdale's dismay).

VHM Mr simon, tho' I'd've preferred something not as KFOG-overplayed as "Diamonds on the Soles..."
