I still don't get why Jellyfish weren't huge.  They hardly made a blip on my consciousness then, but now I wish I'd been paying attention.

same here.  my SO was into them back then, but I was clueless.  


I saw 'em a few times back then. (Opened for World Party once at the Warfield--I was in my element.) They definitely had a schtick (they dressed like escapees from a Sid & Marty Krofft Saturday morning show) but man they could crank the power pop. Serious students of the school of Raspberries, Badfinger, and Rundgren. I was always amazed how their drummer could get a snare and a small kick drum to sound like a whole drumkit.
