VHM the O'Jays. getitowngetitown getitOWN!
Oooooooo, are we getting the looooooong 7-minute version?!
Trivia: the solo bongo-drum intro to this song was performed by none other than Bill Cosby,

TANC: Casey K mentioned this week that Cos gave Roberta Flack her first big break by featuring her on one of his TV specials -- she was his only guest. Don't remember when that was.

That Dead song was one of the worst things I've ever heard.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Bwahahaha!  Funny, because that was really just the beginning of my "I don't care about these guys any more" period, which was really kicked off by "US Blues" and continues to this day. "Music Never Stopped" is fairly tolerable to me in this context.  But I was thinking yesterday, listening to Donna G's warbling on it, that they really wished they were Airplane/Starship at that moment. Grace & Marty mighta put that song over.
