Excellent choice.  Haven't heard this in a long time.  Which is good.

Holeee Crap as shray might say

PiL!

I didn't get hear until the middle of PiL, but I would have said Holee Crap! to the Monks first.

Agreed, but AL has played the Monks at least twice before, so the extreme degree of novelty is starting to wear off. (That doesn't mean I want her to abandon them and move on to something even more arcane.)

Just read thru the Regional 10@10 thread, and I'm surprised that none of the other 10@10 franchises paid any tribute to Valentine's Day today. Particularly The Sound (which did '72), fond as they are of theme sets down there.

I'm guessing the Sunday date gave them pause: do we do it Friday? or Monday?   iirc, the same thing happened when H'ween was on Saturday -- Bob did good "scary" sets the last few years but bypassed it this time around.

Now, do we get a Mardi Gras set on Tuesday?

and speaking of overplayed: AL's bonus is "Let's Stay Together", which Webster played around 6:30 today.

WOS Sam Cooke.  I've never liked his voice (except on "A Change Is Gonna Come") and I don't care for this song in any of its renditions.

I've said it before, but damn: you are maybe the only person ever to not like Sam Cooke.
It is definitely hard to fathom!

And which is #1 in Casey-land '72 this week.

I don't recognize the singer of song 2, but this is a cover of someone more famous, right?

Buzzcocks, with the original of a song that was arguably made more famous by Fine Young Cannibals.

BOS from me.

TANC: last nite they showed the Simpsons Valentine's Day ep that included the Sid & Nancy parody, with Lisa and Nelson getting hooked on chocolate as the Buzzcocks sing.
