Sure was a fine year for TV theme songs!

Definitely, and this TV set was just way too short.
Agreed!  I could enjoy the whole "Sanford and Son" theme.

Another BOS for The Allmans not wasting any more time.  Gotta marry Cher now!

That's what happens when you go downtown to find somebody to love.
That's Ruby you're thinking of.

Cher, Ruby, Fancy, it's all the same thing.

A few years ago someone (I think my mother-in-law) gave me a cd of "50 top TV theme songs".  Don't play it often, but what memories!!
Now I'm eight bits...

ooo! BOS2 the orig "Do Ya" by the Move!

Another one that would have slipped by me as being the original. Good thing you're here to correct me. :)

Wow. I have to guess it's been at least 30 years since I last heard the original "Do Ya." Once ELO's version came out, everybody forgot about this one. Kinda sounds like some of the vocals are out of sync with the backing track, but I like the overall groove and the falsetto backing vox. Mike, any guess who's singing lead on this? Early Lynne, or could it be Roy Wood?

Big ups to AL for the Isleys tune as well--it's probably been even longer since I last heard that one.
Let's get right to it.
