Far and away my favorite fast-food joint -- the only one I eat at, really.  Must have a Taco Bell taco fix every now and then.  And a bean burrito with green sauce.

In the early days, they had five items:  Bean Burrito, Taco, Bell Beefer (taco meat on a bun), Tostada and Pinto Beans (can't remember if the cup of pinto beans had a special name).  The menu also spelled out the pronunciation of each item -- Taco was Tah-coh, Burrito was Buh-rit-toh, or some such -- as "Mexican" food was not at that time mainstream enough for most Americans.

RIP, Mr. Bell.

I'm tempted to try the new low fat fresca menu, although it's still pretty high-sodium.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

I liked it.  If you can get past the idea that you're eating industrial meat and veggies, it's a tasty treat.  Go down to Pacifica and eat at the Taco Bell there.  Best Taco Bell View Ever.
