"Evil Woman" is sounding nice on my new speakers!

oooh, what kind did you get?

My friend Andy got them for me, actually: he'd offered to clean up my place while I was at work the other day, and when I came home, he'd done a makeover of the living room (which surprised and delighted me immensely).  The speakers are Altec Lansing.

sounds like one of those Home and Garden shows.   :)

"Music Geek Makeovers"  -- let's pitch it to MTV or Fuse!

Didn't work so well for Urth, though.

Is this Deep Purple?  Mondo rare.

I went sailing on the Bay last weekend on this really nice boat which had a stereo below deck. When we finally got the on-deck speakers to work -- it took a while to figure out -- THIS is the song that we heard!

woo-hoo!  BOS...

I think you don't mean Mountain, you mean Rainbow.

"Man on the Silver Mountain" was the (godawful, to my ears  ;) ) song, so I think that's what he meant.

Bob Coburn's "Rockline" show had Spinal Tap on last night.  Heard the very end on The Bone.
