loong version of FMac's Oh Well, followed by the famous clip from Five Easy Pieces,

"Yeah, I want you to hold it between your knees."

Cold Turkey and diner chicken salad.  This set is making me hungry.

And it Stoned Me - Van Morrison
Joy to the World - Three Dog Night
Find the Cost of Freedom - CSN&Y

Since I spend a couple hrs a day, minimum, in my car, I have listened a fair amount to the new 103.7 The Band when other stations are on commecrial or crappy tunes.

"Immigrant Song" is far and away the closest thing to a deep track that I've heard, and "Samba Pa Ti" is the only other song that might even qualify.

And they play a lot of Billy Joel.

Ha! I got my hair cut yesterday, and they have always played KKSF in the shop; so now they're listening to "The Band" by default, I guess. Actually heard "Stairway to Heaven", followed by (yes) "Only the Good Die Young".

Kudos to Larry for playing "Cold Turkey", one of the Lennon songs you rarely hear, and one of the great ANTI-drug songs.  Right around the time this came out, Art Linkletter -- whose daughter had killed herself jumping out a window, supposedly while doing LSD -- was on a rabid campaign against "drug songs", and of course he considered every Beatle song to be pro-drug. I wanted to strap him in a chair and play "Cold Turkey" for him repeatedly.
